Curricular Innovations Among Ohio’s Colleges

This post will begin a series looking at some curricular innovations (unique majors, minors, and certificates) that we discovered as we toured colleges around Ohio. Each of these were discussed while we were on campus. In every case, the college was clearly proud of their offering and believed that it would add significant value to their students, be of interest to parents, and differentiate them from competitor colleges.

Over the weeks ahead, we will explore:

  1. Otterbein University’s Zoo and Conservation Sciences major
  2. The Petroleum Engineering major at Marietta College
  3. The set of 11 Criminal Justice majors at Tiffin University
  4. Interconnected allied health majors and graduate programs at the University of Findlay
  5. Bowling Green State University’s Forensic Science majors
  6. John Carroll’s Health Professions Advisory Committee
  7. Ohio University’s Schey Sales Center
